- Have your own domain: If you are serious about blogging, buy a domain of your own. Having your own domain shows your professional approach towards things. Choose a domain name which is short and easy to remember.
- Frequent update: to make your blog successful, you will need to update it on regular basis with the content of your niche. When you update your blog more frequently, search engines as well as people will not find it hard to get to your blog.
- Forums contribution: search on Google to find some top forums in your niche. If you blog about money making and seo kind of stuff, then DP forum, Sitepoint and Seo chat can be the best discussion forum for you. You can add your blog url in your signature section in most of the forums. So add your blog Address in your signature section but don't try to spam any forum with unrelated links from your blog in your replies.
- Social media sites: spend one or two hours daily on top social media sites like Digg, StumbleUpon & Del.icio.us. You should develop your profile on these social news sites by submitting the popular stories you found around on the internet. You should aim at submitting a story only from your blog with other stories on these news sites.
- Blog directories: make a search on Google to find top blog directories in general and in your niche and submit your blog there on these blog directories.
